Caramelised Soy Chicken in Garlic Ginger Broth is the ultimate cozy dish for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by finely chopping the garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  3. Flip chicken thighs and add minced garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
  4. Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, and chicken broth; bring to a gentle simmer while scraping up browned bits.
  5. Simmer for about 20 minutes on low heat until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve the caramelised soy chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and cilantro if desired.
