  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 inch ginger root, grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Marinate salmon fillets in half of the marinade for at least 15-30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear salmon skin-side down for about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Flip salmon and add broccoli florets; cook until broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp (3-4 minutes).
  5. Drizzle remaining marinade over salmon and broccoli during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Serve over cooked rice and top with sesame seeds and green onions.
