Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter (for greasing the pot)
Instructions
- Prepare your Instant Pot by selecting the sauté function. Thinly slice the potatoes to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Grease the inner pot with butter to prevent sticking. Layer sliced potatoes evenly, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour heavy cream over the layered potatoes until just submerged.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top of the potatoes. Add additional layers if desired.
- Close the lid tightly and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes before manually venting any remaining steam.
- Carefully open the lid, let cool slightly, garnish with chives or parsley if desired, and serve.
