  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Roll into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear meatballs until golden brown on all sides (8-10 minutes).
  4. In the same skillet, add diced onion and sauté until translucent. Add crushed tomatoes and stir to combine.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet; reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Cook linguine according to package instructions; drain and reserve some pasta water.
  7. Toss cooked linguine with sauce and meatballs in the skillet; add reserved pasta water as needed.
