  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sriracha (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
  2. In one bowl, whisk the egg; in another bowl, combine cornstarch with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then coat with cornstarch.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry chicken until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  6. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and optional Sriracha; warm while stirring.
  7. Return fried chicken to the skillet, pour sauce over it, and toss until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
