- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1–2 tsp pink food coloring (to taste)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the egg, then add vanilla extract and pink food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- If desired, fold in white chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Allow to cool.
