  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Create the pastry cream by whisking together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in vanilla extract and let cool.
  2. For the ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering; pour over chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
  3. Cut slits in each Hawaiian roll without cutting all the way through. Fill generously with cooled pastry cream.
  4. Drizzle or pour ganache over each filled roll and allow to set before serving.
