- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth (low-sodium)
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
