- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp red food coloring
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and red food coloring until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and sour cream until creamy.
- Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of cheesecake mixture over this layer and swirl gently with a knife.
- Pour remaining red velvet batter on top and create marbles using a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean but moist. Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
