  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and red food coloring until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and sour cream until creamy.
  4. Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of cheesecake mixture over this layer and swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Pour remaining red velvet batter on top and create marbles using a knife.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean but moist. Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
